US AND THEM
Hey there, I would like to have a group of beautiful souls from all over the Universe, a group of Astral Travelers and Explorers. We can grow, learn, share, and teach each other. We can be the new conquistadors of the new world. Please read the DISCUSSIONS and ABOUT. For translation, please go to-- http://babelfish.yahoo.com/ We have members in France, Texas, Georgia, and throughout Ohio and the Mid West. You don't actually attend the meetings in person, but occassionally we meditate at home and then we meet on the other side, and then write about it - pretty cool, uh? I would like for us to grow throught out the world.. www.babelfish.yahoo.com - translate messages into different languages. It's a game we played last year called ASTRAL TAG. We go out of body and meet each other in the Blue Zone. Soon I will start it up again this year. This will change your life forever - forever. Hello, I?m Robert. My girlfriend suddenly past away November of 2007, as we were walking back from breakfast one Sunday morning. My good friend, Reverend Gracie Reeves crossed over in the following February. My friends got me involved with Buddhism and Zazen mediation to help me recover and to cope. Good Friends I have, uh? While meditating I discovered I was journeying out of body and going other places. How odd I thought. After exploring more and deeper, I discovered many other people were doing the same thing, and going to the same places, and I wasn?t so odd after all. I began to earnestly learn from my spirit guides and deceased family members, with honest deliberate intent. I discovered people don?t die; they remain here in another dimension. I REALIZED THERE ARE MANY OTHER DIMENSIONS, DIFFERENT REALITITES, AND EVERYTHING I WAS TAUGHT WAS WRONG. Reality is not the same as I was once taught in high school science class. Time, space, matter, religion, God, life?s purpose ? it was all wrong. I have realized people don?t die and go to this place called heaven. There is no heaven or hell. Why it is that Memory only works backwards, what will I have to do to make if work in both directions? I have become fascinated with ?death and dying?, and think the D word should be stricken from our vocabulary. Pre life and post life is much better. Where you go after life is the same place you come from before life. You are not with God and then WITHOUT God. You are always with God. You are not dead and then alive, you are always alive. We all are immortal. We have a purpose to nurture our soul and nourish our spirit. This will help us in the after life and the only thing we need to learn diligently, in the here and now. We are never separated from God. Big, hugh lies were told to me and everyone. Learning to meditate and going out of body and into the blue zone will certainly enhance one?s life in many wonderful ways and a quick way to grow spiritually. There are those who breathe oxygen and those who don?t, US AND THEM, those who are living on this plane and those who are in the post life stage- they are still alive but don?t require oxygen. And they all/we all, can be communicated with. And then, there are the Extra Terrestrial and the Inner Terrestrial. Originally, I had called this group, Us, Them, and Those, but shortened it for obvious reasons. If you have lost a loved one, I would be glad to talk with you on this subject. I communicate with my loved ones on a regular basis. They are not gone. There IS ORDER in this universe. I meditate and practice going out of body and teach it, and have meetings here, at my home once a month. I have a beautiful home with beautiful hardwood floors throughout which would be good for your practice. If you would like one on one attention, special instructions, or more information, or would like for me to speak to your group, I would like to avail myself fully and openly to you. You have my blessings, Robert

The main & primary focus of ECHO is to meet face-to-face in educational and social settings. With this in mind we do ask that our members contribute in meaningful ways to the group. To that end, members are required to attend a meetup at least once every 2 months and are required to host a parent-guided meetup and a social meetup at least once every 6 months.  Members are also required to provide basic information for our roster and membership is currently capped at 40 families.  We currently have a $5 yearly membership fee per family in order to pay for our Meetup site. Each month, we also try to schedule a Mom's Night Out (MNO) and Mom's Night In (MNI) event- where moms can have fun without worrying about the little ones. Active participation is required for membership of this group. We ask that you attend at least two meetups per month in order to build and maintain an intimate group of stay-at-home moms.  Serving our moms and the community is also a value to our group. We offer opportunities to serve those in need through the church and the community. We also support each other during times of need, such as the birth of a new child or the loss of a job. As you get to know our moms, we hope you become comfortable socializing, serving, and growing with us. Please join us as we grow together as moms and friends. Dads are welcome too!

Abbey's Great Dane Discussion Group
Hello !.. my name is Abbey, and the pic to the left is Andrea and Oliver !!.. we are the organizers of this informational website for Great Dane owners and lovers in the US !!.. I have owned and loved the Great Dane breed since the age of 19 years old (many many years ago !...LOL!).. and Andrea is a student Veteranarian at OSU !!.. on this site, we will share pictures of our gentle giants, share funny stories that i know every Great Dane owner has !.. and provide information and advice to anyone who wants to know ! and on occassion we will have a "meetup" to talk and party and share some more ! This site will be a great way to meet other Dane lovers around the US !!.. It will be an informal discussion group, with many opinions being expressed, and lots of chatting going on !..We are located in Columbus Ohio and our actual "meetups" will primarily be located here in central Ohio... As this group progresses, we will all get to know eachother, become friends, and be able to plan functions that will include our Danes, and functions that will not include our Danes !!.. Depending on the time of year and celebrations and events that approach us !... I myself own 6 Danes, and adore each and every one of them !.. i have lots of Dane knowledge to share and lots to learn !.. I do realize that if this is the first Dane puppy you have ever owned, or you are thinking of owning one, the first year of every Dane puppy's life is critical and there are always so many questions and concerns, wether it be nutrition, excersize, health issues, behavioral issues, etc.. this site will be a great place to ask... if you are considering getting a rescue Dane, this is a great place to ask .. this site is for everyone's input, not just mine, and this site is for everyone to share !.. not just me !!.. i receive emails daily with stories of "over the rainbow" Danes, questions about bone growth, concerns about obedience and yes, even Dane potty training !... so join in on the fun with our topic being... our "Beloved Danes" !

Westerville 912 Project
WE BELIEVE IN LIBERTY AND FREEDOM FOR SELF AND COUNTRY! We support the following principals & values:The Westerville 912 Project The 9 Principles1. America Is Good. 2. I believe in God and He is the Center of my Life. God ?The propitious smiles of Heaven can never be expected on a nation that disregards the eternal rules of order and right which Heaven itself has ordained.? from George Washington?s first Inaugural address. 3. I must always try to be a more honest person than I was yesterday. Honesty ?I hope that I shall always possess firmness and virtue enough to maintain what I consider to be the most enviable of all titles, the character of an honest man.? George Washington 4. The family is sacred. My spouse and I are the ultimate authority, not the government. Marriage/Family ?It is in the love of one?s family only that heartfelt happiness is known. By a law of our nature, we cannot be happy without the endearing connections of a family.? Thomas Jefferson 5. If you break the law you pay the penalty. Justice is blind and no one is above it. Justice ?I deem one of the essential principles of our government? equal and exact justice to all men of whatever state or persuasion, religious or political.? Thomas Jefferson 6. I have a right to life, liberty and pursuit of happiness, but there is no guarantee of equal results. Life, Liberty, & The Pursuit of Happiness ?Everyone has a natural right to choose that vocation in life which he thinks most likely to give him comfortable subsistence.? Thomas Jefferson 7. I work hard for what I have and I will share it with who I want to. Government cannot force me to be charitable. Charity ?It is not everyone who asketh that deserveth charity; all however, are worth of the inquiry or the deserving may suffer.? George Washington 8. Rosicrucian of Columbus (AMORC)
We welcome you and thank you for your interest in learning more about the Rosicrucian Order, AMORC. Perhaps you have already explored the vast sea of metaphysical and self-help books, programs, lectures, and seminars, and you may have found yourself wondering how to make sense of it all -- how to put it all together in a way that's practical and truly relevant to you. You can acquire a lot of information from books, lectures, and classes, and you may even discover some very useful techniques for improving certain aspects of your life. But this approach to self-improvement is always incomplete, because most books, seminars and study groups have a limited focus, such as personal prosperity, improving relationships, meditation, spiritual attunement, or developing psychic abilities. And focusing on one area of study doesn't provide balanced development. The Rosicrucian system is unique -- it provides a foundation that ties together all of the different aspects of metaphysical study, and demonstrates their interconnectedness. This is an open group for non members to meet local Rosicrucian's in your area and get your question answered.

We are here to share the science, philosophy, and religion of eternal life. We are dedicated to bringing forth a philosophy of life based on the premise that we are eternal beings. We are actively seeking to live the principles of true religion in our daily lives, knowing that the connecting link is ever open between our Creator and ourselves. With the understanding that fear is the root cause of all negativity, our heartfelt purpose is to assist seekers in eliminating fear through demonstration of evidence of eternal life and by working with teachers and guides in the Spirit World to bring alive and make use of the teachings and examples given to us by Jesus and other Spiritual Masters in order to advance the evolution of religious thought. Our full worship services consist of an inspirational lecture, healing meditation, and messages from the spirit world that serve to demonstrate evidence of eternal life.

The Clarity Project
Today, life presents us with so many choices, so many distractions, and so many competing (and often contradictory) messages that it can be difficult to truly know what we want and what we need in order to live satisfying, healthy, and fulfilling lives. What's more, we often take on so many commitments to self and others that we feel drained of the time and energy needed to really stop and think about what truly matters to us. Thus we spend weeks, months, years, and even decades STUCK, our days and our minds chock full of, well....STUFF. The Clarity Project aims to change all of that by dealing thoughtfully and practically with such questions as: What are my true values? To what extent am I living my life in accordance with my values? What are my gremlins, assumptions, interpretations, and limiting beliefs, and how are they affecting my life? How does my ego interact with the world, and to what benefit or detriment? How do I communicate my wants, needs, and boundaries to others, and is the message getting through? What are my wildest dreams...for myself, my family, my planet...and why are they just dreams? If these and similar questions entice you, then The Clarity Project aims to provide you with a supportive environment in which to achieve: Clarity to decide; Courage to change; and, Commitment to act. Please join us!

Branching out from the successful Girl Develop It program in NYC, our goal is to build a series of web development classes for the Columbus, Ohio community that focuses on creating a comfortable, low-pressure learning environment for women and men. Learn more at http://www.girldevelopitcbus.com

Pickerington Playdates
***NOT ACCEPTING NEW MEMBERS AT THIS TIME*** We are a group of mamas in the Pickerington area who meetup to share playdates and just bond with other women going through the same situations we are as parents.  We didn't want to have to drive all over Columbus to find other groups so we figured we would start this group right here in our own "backyards" in Pickerington! :) General Information When we are accepting new members you may request to join our group. At that time you will be asked to attend a "Meet & Greet" Prior to being approved as a member of the group.  This is to insure the safety of our members and children and the privacy of personal information that may be contained on this site. It will also give you a chance to meet group members, learn more about us and decide if our group is a good "fit" for you and your child's needs and availability. Membership dues are $5 per member due every 6 months to cover the cost of Organizer dues to run our group on Meetup. Deadlines for these dues will be announced and may be paid by paypal through this site, cash or check made payable to "Andrea Fannin". If paying by check please put "PP meetup dues" on the memo line. ALL home-based playdates will be held in or close to Pickerington unless otherwise noted. All members are able to schedule meetups for our group. You may host in-home playdates and/or schedule playdates at public locations. If you need help in doing so, just ask. If you would like to set a limit for how many people may attend your in-home playdate, please message Andrea Fannin through meetup, email, text or Facebook and I will create this limit for you. When giving your attendee limit please give me the number INCLUDING yourself in the attendee limit.;) If you would like to set an age limit for your in-home playdate please include the age range in the description of your playdate. If you do not specify an age range it will be assumed the playdate is open to all ages. We will try to meet the needs of all members as best we can, but please be aware that many members are SAHM or work from home moms and so, although there will be plenty of opportunity for weekend playdates a Majority of our playdates and such may be held Monday-Friday ranging from morning/afternoon/evening hours. Social gatherings could be playdates held at each others houses, parks, restaurants, zoo, COSI, museums, etc. or we could even organize "mommies nights" where we could go out and enjoy an adult night out with dinner, movies, drinks etc. while the daddies watch the kids. ;) GIVING BACK TO THE COMMUNITY: We would like to be able to "give back" to our community so there will be periodic opportunities to donate and/or volunteer to different non-profit organizations throughout the year.  This could be collecting non-perishable items to donate to food pantries, collecting items to be donated to shelters or women/children centers or even opportunities to donate/volunteer for pet or environmental welfare.  If you have a cause you are interested in asking the group to help with, please contact me with specifics and we can see what we can do! :) Some groups we have worked with are: The Pickerington Food Pantry and The Sedona Grace Foundation (a pet food donation program). Our main goal in this group is to HAVE FUN! :) Suggestions to better our group or to offer event/activity ideas are always welcome, and we'd love to have as many different types of events as you can think up. We look forward to welcoming you to the group and hope you will make friendships to last a lifetime!

Flimsee
The Flimsee group is made up of outdoor enthusiasts who enjoy tossing discs competitively. Flimsee is a disc throwing target game developed in Columbus Ohio and with this group we look to better announce fun events around town. Find a teammate and send the disc clean through for two or bounce the cup to the ground for one. If you catch the cup, defense prevails and no points are scored for either team. Those are the basics of the official Flimsee Cups rules. We look forward to sharing this exciting lawn game experience.

Brown Girls in Columbus
Hey everyone, I have been a meetup member on and off since moving to Columbus. While I've enjoyed some of those experiences, I was interested in creating a group that incorporated everything I like to do all in one. I consider myself an eclectic person who enjoys doing a wide variety of things around town. I am hoping to find some fun ladies who would like to join me in experiencing all that Columbus has to offer to it's fullest. Our meetups will include travel, exercise, wine tastings, dining out, dancing, cultural events, festivals, museum tours, coffee/book outings, cooking classes...everything and anything I find that looks interesting around the city. Who this group is intended for: Females only, this is not a dating group, so I'd prefer to keep this just for the girls. Now if we meet some guys while we're out enjoying ourselves, that's great but it's not the focus. Be mature, I would suggest you be atleast mid to late twenties; however, if you are a mature 23 year old, definitely join us. Otherwise, there is no age requirement. This group is not looking to exclude; however, many of our activities will be "people of color" friendly. What does this mean? It means that while we might attend dinner in German Village one evening and plan a trip to Europe next year, we might also have an event at a poetry reading in the King-Lincoln district. If you are comfortable in all of these settings and want to explore the culture and diversity of Columbus, feel free to join our group. What this meetup is not: This is not a professional networking group. There are enough of those already on meetup. If the conversation legitimately leads to your business and you pass on a card, that?s fine but please do not use this group as a sales and marketing tool for your business. I mean who really wants to talk shop when they are trying to enjoy their glass of wine? Again, this is not a dating group. Involvement and input is crucial. Please be involved and provide feedback and ideas as much as possible. This group is meant to be a welcoming, inspiring, empowering group for women. We are truly looking to have fun. Mean-spirited, judgmental, gossiping behavior will not be tolerated here. If you think this might be a fun group to join and you want to really start getting out and enjoying life, please don't hesitate and join today!!! ~The $5 fee is a donation if you would like to contribute to the fees to maintain the group, it is not a requirement to join. You can join and pay after you get a feel or pay a different amount, it's at your discretion. Any funds collected specifically goes to maintaining the meetup group website. I pay the $45 quarterly fee out of my own pocket, so donations are much appreciated! Thanks! Alysha "When we're connected to others, we become better people." Randy Pausch (The Last Lecture)

Columbus History Club
A lot of people decide to major in history in college, and many of them eventually get involved in at least one activity involving history while there. Unfortunately, sooner or later, they have to graduate, and... no more activity. Well, as a recent grad myself, I've decided to do something about that! So, welcome to the Columbus History Club! Whatever your level of involvement, past or present, if you love history of any sort, then this group is for you.

Columbus Business and Technology
The focus of this meetup group is to accelerate the Business and Tech communities in Central Ohio. Everyone is welcome. The only requirement for events is that they focus on fostering small business growth, technology, entrepreneurship, or professional development.

Leisure Travelers
I decided to start this group, because I love to travel and I sometimes find it hard to find someone to travel with and I don't want to do it alone.  The purpose of the group is to travel to sporting events, have shopping adventures, have amusement park outings, travel to near and far away places and have a good time with like minded people. Those that join this group should love to travel and have good clean fun, and have a positive attitude.

The Columbus Special Needs Resource Group
We are a group for professionals working within the special needs community, looking to network and become aware of the different resources available in the community for families dealing with a disability. If you are a professional or organization looking to meet others who work in this space, please join! We look forward to meeting you and sharing ideas and maybe even referrals... The Columbus New In Town (or not so new) MeetUp Group
This is a group for folks who have just moved to Columbus, or who aren't originally from here. If you've chosen to make Columbus your home, it's a great place to be- there's lots of friendly faces, tons of culture, and so much to do. Join us for chances to meet new people and get to know this new city. If you've been here a while, or even if you're a native Columbus Knight, you are certainly welcome. After all, it's nice to have a bit of a guide in checking out this wonderful, cosmopolitan city. For those of you who want to know: Is this a singles group? No, not exclusively. People might meet others to date, certainly, but that's not the point of this group. Is this a networking group? Again, not exclusively, but if you make some good business connectiong or find a job through this group, that's great! Is this a Columbus-centric group? Yes. It's just easier to focus the group on the city area. Events outside the city are welcome, but be aware that the majority of folks on this group are likely to live within the city itself. Thanks

Columbus Beauty Health and Wellness
Hello Everyone, My name is Chanda, and I am the organizer of this group. I am a licensed Esthetician and Manicurist, and I am very passionate about skin care and cosmetic products. I envision this group as a place where we can all learn from each other. One thing that I have learned in the process of learning about skin care and cosmetics and general, is the fact that we all have to take our health into our own hands. Being in school for Business Administration has taught me that: businesses are in the business to make MONEY! Most businesses are not concern, don't feel responsible, and are not legally obligated to educate you about their product ingredients. There is a direct link between the beauty products we use and our overall health. I look forward to meeting you at our next Meetup!

Moms Clean Air Force Ohio
We are helping moms let leaders know we want clean air for our kids! Moms will do everything they can to keep their children safe and sound. We look for the healthiest foods we can afford; we avoid toxic chemicals in our products. We are moms who work together together to protect our children. The purpose of our group is to bring Ohio moms together in order to turn around our air pollution issues. Ohio is currently ranked 2nd in the nation for mercury pollution. We teach moms how to be "Naptime Activists". We organize mom's night out events, afternoon play dates, group conference calls where you can ask your leaders important questions and so much more. We create easy opportunities to help moms be aware of Ohio's air quality issues and to raise their collective voice. This is a group for moms who care about protecting their children from toxic air pollution. We will have events for moms with young children. We will have events for moms with older children. Sometimes being a good mom means being an active citizen. We do not want mercury in our air. We want to clean our air and lower the asthma rates in our state. We need job-creating regulations to assure that our children have clean air right now, and for their future.

Weight Loss and Healthy Living
Obesity has reached epidemic proportions. Everywhere you turn there seems to be a new miracle weight loss system, pill or program and yet we Americans are still packing on the pounds. My name is Jason and I created this group as a way to help people loose weight and develop a healthy lifestyle. I'm not presenting any new revolutionary plans nor am I selling anything. I just have a passion for helping people reach their fitness goals and develop a healthy lifestyle. My philosophy is really quite simple and can ultimately be broken down into a single, very easy to understand phrase....."Eat right and exercise".  Although it can be ultimately broken down into a phrase so simple, I'm able to tell you that when put into practice, there's nothing simple about it. It takes hard work, motivation, dedication, desire and more hard work. Effectively, what needs to happen is that your entire lifestyle must change and it must be a change that lasts a lifetime if you want to see lasting results.....and that's no easy task. If it were easy, we wouldn't see the obesity problem in society that we do. This is where this group comes in. This group is dedicated to helping people achieve their goals, offer motivation, education and as a general place for like minded people to gather, discuss and help one another along. Our meet-ups will consist of educational and exercise oriented functions. This group is aimed towards those who have made the commitment to get healthy....for those who are willing to put in the hard work and help others on the journey. This isn't easy but I absolutely guarantee that you'll get results. If you aren't ready to give up the emotional eating, greasy fast foods and the vast majority of sweets while putting in hard work at the same time, then this isn't the group for you.  I have a motto that has served me well in life for just about anything worth doing and that motto is "Nobody said it would be easy" and that will certainly carry over to this group. The most difficult part of the process is the beginning. Making the commitment to getting healthy for many people is a big shock to their body, mind and lifestyle. The first few months can be (and most likely will be) extremely difficult. I say all of this mainly because I want no one to have any illusions along with having a good idea of the commitment it really takes. I want our group to be successful, I know that only those willing to make the commitment and put in the hard work are going to come out on top. So lets do it! So, if you're ready to get fit, join up and let's get moving! **Anyone joining this group must accept full responsibility for their physical and medical health.  I am not a doctor and will never offer any type of medical advice.  Also, understand that any type of physical activity carries a degree of risk with the potential of injuries which may be severe.  You must accept sole responsibility for all risks associated with this group.  Should you need any medical advice or have any medical questions, please consult a qualified doctor.  It is highly recommended that you consult your doctor before starting any exercise routine.**

Freethinking Grieving Parents
I am a mother of three adult children, one of which died at the hands of a distracted driver while he was riding his motorcycle. I have been to several support groups for parents like me, all perversely based on religious ideas and superstitions to my chagrin. I would like to start a group in my town of parents who lost an adult child and want the support of non-theistic friends; a place where we can dispense with the fairy tales and discuss how we are dealing with our loss as we embrace the cold harsh reality of it all. No delusions, no spiritualism, no superstitious nonsense, just reasonable conversation based in reality, and the support of other non-theistic parents who have lost an adult child. How do we freethinking, reasonable, rational, reality-based humanists deal with the heavy, heart crushing grief we are enduring every day? That is a support group I could embrace.

Central Ohio Pluralsight Study Group
The Central Ohio Pluralsight Study Group was started for the express purpose of gathering developers together on a weekly basis to watch, discuss and learn from Pluralsight's vast library of training. We are supported by Pluralsight in our efforts and sponsored by TechColumbus who is generously providing our meeting facilities. We meet at the TechColumbus offices off of Kinnear road once a week to study. The general format is to spend approximately one hour watching a Pluralsight training video followed by 30 minutes to 1 hour of round table discussion of the video we saw along with a review of the code if applicable. For each Pluralsight course we choose to watch will get broken down into approximately one hour segments. We will then post all of those weekly sessions on this meet-up site. Members can sign up for as many sessions as they can attend. This way, if there are sessions that members can not attend, the content we will cover is outlined on the meet up site so members can watch them using their Pluralsight account at their own leisure. Our meetings attendance list is limited by the size of the room we are given. So, members are encouraged to sign up for as many meetings as they can attend in order to ensure seating availability. We can go to COSI, see a kid play, go to library or museum, take a trip to Graeters, see a family friendly movie and even hang out at Chuck e Cheese. I occasionally host game nights where we can cook and challenge our children to some friendly competition.  Your invited to join other working moms and their children to share, grow and learn from each other. This group was created for believers who are seeking fellowship with Christian mommies as well as a safe and positive environment for their kiddos to play. Our goal for the group is begin slowly with a few play dates per month at various family-friendly locations around Columbus. All Christian moms with children 5 or younger are welcome! We look forward to offering welcoming and inclusive opportunities that create vibrant peer connections, empower the next generation to take part in the larger Jewish community, and encourage people to explore Judaism on their own terms.

Living Intentionally Columbus Area Networking
Due to circumstances in our world some of us are looking at other ways to provide a secure and comfortable living arrangement, now and in the future. I am seeking to start a communal group in the Columbus Area that will buy a farm together and live off that farm as much as possible. I'd like to use green technology, grow our own food, sell farm made and grown items and learn other ways of self-sufficiency. I want us to discuss anything that would be helpful to attain the goals of our group. Religion should not be a determining factor of this group, but Spirituality is a welcomed quality...the difference between the two is Judgment. We should be accepting of each other for a prosperous community where evryone has a voice.
Forward Thinking Meet Up

I look forward to seeing you on the river. Sami

Central Ohio - Inspired Living
This group is for those interested in Inspired Living and in learning across an array of personal and professional development topics; Goal setting, Time Management, Personal development, Business development, Leadership development, Wealth building and financial management, Personal motivation and more... This meeting is intended as an opportunity to view and review the latest personal and professional development videos, books and media and discuss how we can implement what we have seen into our own lives and businesses. I have started this strictly as an opportunity to share what I think will be great materials and to create an associated 'master mind' group to discuss them with. Its a chance to meet some new people and to share points of view on personal and professional growth.

Painters and Pints
Simply put...this is a venue where social artists (those who like to create in public view) go to do their thing. We create, socialize, discuss new ideas and concepts and all while there is a beer (or other drink of your choice) is nearby...preferably in hand. Its about meeting new people, having fun and doing what you love.

Gospel Living in Columbus
As we depend upon and delight in Jesus, He describes something simple about us. We have a new life. There is a core to it. Through Christ, we have a relationship with God (gospel) We are now in a spiritual family of His children (community) We are left on earth to show the world the glory of Jesus (mission) This becomes the stride of our lives. In this stride we find our joy. How do we do this? Is it possible that we are tripping over ourselves? It's far more than a Sunday morning service (as important as those are). How can more of Columbus (and Ohio) see Jesus? Lets discuss it and learn from each other in this journey. Whether you want to find people to live this out with or already have people you are trying to live this out with. Let us learn together and ask the Spirit to do His great work in and through us. Lets behold Christ and invest our lives like it counts!

Sustainable community building: Ethos inspired Construction.
We are Sugar Grove Eco Village: This is our first year. We acquired our property at the end of last summer and are crawling out of winter with lots of momentum. (51 acres of rolling, wooded hills in Sugar Grove, OH with four ponds - just South of Lancaster, OH, 35 minutes from eastside of Columbus) Currently, we are three adults and two children who have come together to exit mass consumerism and create a sustainable living model for ourselves and others to build from. We believe the current model is broken in many ways. We believe that personal freedom can only come from individuals joining together to provide their basic needs through a peaceful, loving, supportive community and network. We believe that we are all one people and one earth. We are striving to utilize organic resources for food, shelter & energy, utilize entrepreneurial methods along with barter & trade to generate income, involve community through educational opportunities, and expand our spirituality and connectedness to the earth. The purpose of this meetup is to provide a springboard where these topics and ideas can be discussed and applied as well as gaining & providing inspiration. Topics of discussion will revolve around our current projects: organic gardening, composting, permaculture, edible foraging, organically raising farm animals for food, natural buildings from recyclables, alternative energy sources, bee keeping, fish ranching & pond management, community development, home schooling, cooking & canning, sewing, home health care and more. We are looking for like-minded souls who are willing to explore the possibilities. Join us if you are curious & interested, if you have already explored and developed alternative living methods and would like to share, or if you'd like to help out and get your hands dirty on some projects. Startup Ohio
Startup Ohio - A Statewide organization to develop Ohio's Startup Economy and entrepreneurial ecosystem. Ohio is the 19th largest economy in the world and 7th in the USA. However, according to the Kauffman Foundation, we rank only 32nd among states in Entrepreneurial Activity. This is a big hindrance to Ohio's future growth. 43% of new jobs are created by entrepreneurs and startup companies, thus if we want more Ohio jobs then we need to do a better job of helping startups. Startup Ohio is Ohio People using Ohio money to help Ohio Startups create Ohio Jobs. We want to keep Ohio money and Ohio brainpower in Ohio, I am tired of losing people and businesses to California and elsewhere because they don't feel that there is enough support in Ohio. We wish to build an Ohio confederated ecosystem of entrepreneurs that is unique to Ohio and the envy of other states. Startup Ohio is an umbrella organization vaguely similar in nature to JobsOhio, that is dedicated to creating more startups and more jobs in Ohio thru the power and possibilities of entrepreneurship, small business development, business startups, better funding and crowdfunding, education, charity orgs, etc. We are a community-owned and community managed, statewide umbrella organization. We are not just a social group, we are very project oriented. We want to MAKE IT HAPPEN! just not talk and do nothing. The important part is we have about 20 different major projects listed so far and need your help. We want to define what is holding Ohio back from being permanently in the top 5 best startup states and create a master plan to fix those problems. Who would be better at coming up with solutions than the entrepreneurs themselves?! If you want to help in anyway please join our group and email Alex at startupohio@hotmail.com and we will go from there. Everyone is encouraged to contribute, no matter what your experience or talents.

AUDIO BOOK IT ? LADY?S LIT DISCUSSION GROUP
We are literaries who read books, but mostly through audio means. We focus on romance novels (and we?re are well read enough to know there is a difference between romance and erotica) This group is for other like-minded readers who are big on audio book reading as well. Why audio, perhaps books have become too time consuming, schedule too busy, visual limitations, etc,. However, your love for the written word is no less the same and you can devour a book in a week, maybe three days like a champ. You?d like to connect with other people who like to read or audio book it as much as you do. We have a romantic novel focus, but are open to a variety of genre?s. We choose a book and meet primarily once a month to discuss it. We also want to make this a social effort because people connect, commit to reading and build better rapport as they socialize better. Therefore, the group is for active members, not those simply looking for a place to shop their novels and novelettes. In other words, come here to support the group, not to gain an audience for yourself. We seek active participation. Inactivity will result in being unmembered. Lets have a good time amongst other like-minded literaries who seek to come together to discuss and explore the various aspects of our favorite stories. All selected books must be in audio book format.

Move to Amend of Licking County
A call to action!  A movement to limit the massive donations & manipulation that Unions & Corporations have over our government officials. The goal of this group is for like-minded & curious residents of Licking County (and beyond) to work together from all sides of the political spectrum & remove the greed from Washington as the sole decision maker of politics. We are part of a national coalition to overturn the Citizens United Supreme Court decision that held political spending is a form of protected speech under the First Amendment, and the government may not keep corporations or unions from spending money to support or denounce individual candidates in elections.  The ultimate objective being to amend the Constitution to assert that "inalienable rights belong to human beings only, and that money is not a form of protected free speech under the First Amendment and can be regulated in political campaigns."
